Thorough Teacher Training
Our Commitment to Quality & Safety At 4wardED, student safety and learning quality are at the heart of everything we do. Every teacher and every class goes through a careful, multi-step review before becoming part of our platform. How We Vet Our Educators: 1. Application Review We evaluate each teacher’s background, subject knowledge, teaching experience, and motivation. We also ensure their teaching environment is equipped for high-quality instruction. 2. Class Review Before any class is published, our team carefully reviews its description. We verify that it aligns with the teacher’s background, adheres to our Class Content Policy, and meets our instructional standards. 3. Background Check All teachers must pass an SSN-based background check that verifies identity and screens for criminal records — completed before they teach their first class on 4wardED. --- We believe learners thrive when they feel safe, supported, and inspired — and that starts with exceptional teachers you can trust. Contact Us If you have any questions about our vetting process, teacher qualifications, or anything else, we're here to help. Email: admin@4wardlearning.com
Secure Platform
4wardED classes utilize the 4wardED.com platform and the Zoom video conferencing tool. To maintain security, all Zoom sessions on 4wardED are password-protected, ensuring access is limited to teachers and students. Furthermore, these sessions are tailored to grant teachers full control over classroom access and essential features such as screen sharing and audio/video settings. This setup enables teachers to respond promptly to any issues that may arise during class.
Restricted Class Recordings
4wardED records classes to provide teacher coaching and support customer service and compliance needs. Additionally, learners often appreciate having access to class recordings to revisit challenging concepts, like a tricky math explanation! At the same time, we prioritize the privacy of both learners and teachers. To protect these rights, we require families to agree not to share recordings with others before viewing them. Parents who prefer their children not be recorded can opt out of video recordings after verification. Class recordings are never made downloadable and are retained on our platform for 90 days before being deleted. We do not share class recordings or any personal information about our community members outside of 4wardED for marketing or any other purpose without explicit consent.
Committed Trust and Safety Team
Our Trust and Safety team actively monitors and screens for inappropriate materials or behavior in alignment with our code of conduct. We promptly investigate and take appropriate action as needed.
Committed to Privacy Protection
Our privacy policy explains the information we collect from you, how we use it, and the options you have regarding its use. Additionally, 4wardED complies with the requirements of the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) for children under 13 and extends these protections to all children using our platform. To help learners understand their privacy rights and how we safeguard their information, we’ve also developed a Learner Privacy Guide that presents this information in a child-friendly format.
Aware of online safety practices
You or a designated responsible adult should supervise your learner’s participation in 4wardED classes, where learners engage with teachers and peers via group video chat or through posts and comments in the 4wardED classroom. Helpful resources on online privacy and safety are available in our help center.
